Faculty mobility

Every year UNCuyo opens different Calls for faculty. The most popular one is the Faculty Mobility Program.

UNCUYO Mobility Call

This program encourages and promotes the necessary skills and competences for our faculty to understand, take part, and work in an international academic community.

Calls are aimed at providing financial assistance to faculty members so that they can visit foreign higher education institutions on an exchange.

FAQs

  • What are the requirements to take part in the Program?

Applicants must be tenured or interim UNCuyo professors with at least 2 years’ seniority and must have obtained an invitation for an academic visit from a foreign institution of higher education.

  • What is the maximum stay for academic visits?

Academic visits to Latin American institutions can last for a maximum of 15 days. Academic visits to North America (excluding Mexico), Europe, and the rest of the world, can last for a maximum of 30 days.  

  • When is the opening date of this Call?

The Call opens around June and stays open for one month.

  • Can I respond to a Call if I have already taken part in a mobility program offered by SIIP (UNCuyo’s Secretariat of Research, International Relations, and Graduate Studies)?

Yes, but you will not have priority.

  • What costs are covered by these Scholarships?

SIIP will fix a financial aid package for travelling and living expenses depending on destination and length of stay.

You can conduct teaching, research, outreach and engagement activities.

ESCALA AUGM Teaching Mobility Call

The ESCALA Program promotes regional cooperation and integration among AUGM universities through mobility and exchange programs for professors and researchers to build and cement enduring academic relationships between all stakeholders and to carry out and support joint projects.

  • Can I take part in this Program?

Applicants must be tenured or interim UNCuyo professors with at least 2 years’ seniority.

  • Which universities can I visit?

Every year, AUGM Group Universities decide on the number of places available. This information will be stated in each Call. 

  • What are the requirements to take part in the Program?

Each Call includes information on specific requirements. However, applicants must have an Invitation Letter from the university they wish to visit. The procedures needed to obtain such Letter must be completed by the applicant.

  • Can I apply if I have already taken part in a mobility program?

Yes, but you will not have priority.

  • When is the opening date of this Call?

Calls open every year on the dates fixed by the ESCALA Program.

  • What costs are covered by these Scholarships?

UNCuyo will cover your travelling expenses. The other university will cover housing and meals during the agreed upon stay.

  • What can I do during an exchange?

You can conduct teaching, research, outreach and engagement activities.
