Academic Staff

Academic staff members can respond to three calls that open each academic year under UNCuyo programs.

UNCUYO’s Mobility Program

This Call is aimed at academic staff involved in management, planning, coordination, organization, counselling, and/or administration tasks to design policies and plans. The Program offers the opportunity to receive training sessions aimed at promoting the internationalization of their work.

The purpose of the Call is to offer financial assistance for staff members to go on an exchange to other Latin American institutions of higher education.

  • Can I take part in this Program?

Applicants must be part of the management and administration staff of any academic unit within UNCuyo (e.g. colleges and schools, the Balseiro Institute, UNCuyo High Schools, or UNCuyo’s Institute of Technology) and have at least 2 years’ seniority in their position. Staff members who also conduct teaching activities at UNCuyo cannot apply to this Call.

  • What is the maximum duration of an exchange?

The minimum stay is 1 week, and the maximum stay is 15 days.

  • What are the requirements to take part in the Program?

Each Call includes information on specific requirements. However, applicants must have an Invitation Letter from the university they wish to visit.

  • How can I get an Invitation Letter?

Each Call includes a document with contact data for each university under an agreement with UNCuyo. If you don’t have any contact person at a foreign university, you can use this data sheet as a starting point.

  • What costs are covered by these Scholarships?

UNCuyo will cover part of your travelling expenses. As for living expenses, each call will inform on the applicable financial aid package depending on the length of stay.

  • When is the opening date of this Call?

This Call opens around June.

PILA MOBILITY PROGRAM

This Call is aimed at academic staff involved in management, planning, coordination, organization, counselling, and/or administration tasks to design policies and plans. The Program offers the opportunity to receive training sessions aimed at promoting the internationalization of their work.

Applicants must be part of the management and administration staff of any academic unit within UNCuyo (e.g. colleges and schools, the Balseiro Institute, UNCuyo High Schools, or UNCuyo’s Institute of Technology) and have at least 2 years’ seniority in their position. Staff members who also conduct teaching activities at UNCuyo cannot apply to this Call.

Available places in Mexican and Colombian universities are defined on a yearly basis. Each Call will include the corresponding information.

The minimum stay is 1 week, and the maximum stay is 15 days.

UNCuyo will cover your travelling expenses. The other university will cover housing and meals during the agreed upon stay.

AUGM MOBILITY PROGRAM

The ESCALA Program for university management and administration staff promotes regional cooperation and integration between member universities through mobility and exchange programs for managers and administrators for them to visit and receive training in foreign AUGM universities. 

This Program is for the staff of member universities. The Program is aimed at employees conducting management, planning, coordination, organization, counselling, and/or administration tasks to design and implement management policies and plans. This Program is also aimed at university employees responsible for collaboration or assistance in the execution, assessment, and supervision of policies and plans.

  • Can I take part in this Program?

Applicants must be part of the management and administration staff of any academic unit within UNCuyo (e.g. colleges and schools, the Balseiro Institute, UNCuyo High Schools, or UNCuyo’s Institute of Technology) and have at least 2 years’ seniority in their position. Staff members who also conduct teaching activities at UNCuyo cannot apply to this Call.

  • Which universities can I visit under this Mobility Program?
