La situación medioambiental del planeta necesita de manera urgente que los profesionales dedicados a la construcción del hábitat humano puedan ofrecer respuestas sustentables a los requerimientos de la vida moderna. El rol del arquitecto para definir y proyectar estos espacios juega un rol decisivo. En este marco aparecen nuevas demandas a los educadores y a las currículas de las escuelas de Arquitectura. A partir de un trabajo de diagnóstico realizado previamente con el apoyo de un proyecto para investigadores noveles de la Facultad de Ingeniería se alerto que el 76% de las asignaturas de la Carrera de Arquitectura abordan de manera muy superficial o no lo hacen las temáticas de sustentabilidad. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se propone la realización y estructuración para su ejecución de un Plan de Sustentabilización de la Carrera de Arquitectura de la FING de la UNCuyo. Se trabaja sobre la hipótesis de que un Plan de Sustentabilización de la Carrera de Arquitectura otorgaría la guía necesaria y una metodología estructurada para que esta se convierta paulatinamente en una oferta que propicie la formación de los futuros arquitectos sobre una fuerte base de conocimientos de sustentabilidad desde lo teórico a la ejecución práctica del hábitat que proyecten y construyan, saberes adecuados a las exigencias que se enfrenta en un futuro (cambio climático, crisis energética, crisis de recursos). El objetivo principal del presente proyecto es Desarrollar un Plan de Sustentabilización para la Carrera de Arquitectura de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, estructurado por ejes (curricular-docente-planificación académica) una aplicación paulatina y secuencial para que, de esta manera, dicha carrera se convierta en un ejemplo de la formación del arquitecto atravesado por el paradigma de la sustentabilidad. La metodología del presente se aborda en actividades específicas a realizar en tres ejes fundamentales de la educación universitaria: la currículo o plan de estudios, el cuerpo docente y los programas académicos. De los resultados esperados se destacan un mayor carácter visibilidad en las intenciones de sutentabilidad dentro de las capacidades que posea el egresado que se cobijan bajo la sustentabilidad, un cuerpo docente mancomunado y formado en la conciencia y la necesidad imperiosa de que la producción del hábitat sustentable y programas académicos que incorporen temáticas de sustentabilidad en las asignaturas.

The environmental situation of the planet urgently needs professionals dedicated to the construction of the human habitat to be able to offer sustainable answers to the requirements of modern life. The role of the architect in defining and designing these spaces plays a decisive role. Within this framework, new demands appear to educators and to the curricula of schools of architecture. Based on a diagnostic work previously carried out with the support of a project for new researchers of the School of Engineering, it was found that 76% of the subjects of the Architecture Career address sustainability issues in a very superficial way or not at all. Based on the results obtained, it is proposed the realization and structuring for its execution of a Sustainability Plan for the Architecture Career of the FING of the UNCuyo. We work on the hypothesis that a Sustainability Plan for the Architecture Career would provide the necessary guidance and a structured methodology for it to gradually become an offer that promotes the training of future architects on a strong base of knowledge of sustainability from the theoretical to the practical execution of the habitat they design and build, knowledge appropriate to the demands faced in the future (climate change, energy crisis, resource crisis). The main objective of this project is to develop a Sustainability Plan for the Architecture Career of the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Cuyo, structured by axes (curricular-teaching-academic planning) a gradual and sequential application so that, in this way, this career becomes an example of the training of the architect crossed by the paradigm of sustainability. The present methodology is approached in specific activities to be carried out in three fundamental axes of university education: the curriculum or study plan, the teaching staff and the academic programs. The expected results include a greater visibility in the intentions of sustainability within the capabilities of the graduate that are covered under sustainability, a teaching staff united and trained in the awareness and the imperative need for the production of sustainable habitat and academic programs that incorporate sustainability issues in the subjects.
